For Halloween, I had toyed with 2 different zombie looks:
Rockabilly zombie girl with long black hair streaked with white + bustier + capri jeans + stiletto heels. I really liked the white streaked wig. Kinda like the Bride of Frankenstein letting down her hair. Or maybe one of Cher’s Vegas show wigs.
And I would’ve gone with that, had I not ran into this vintage lace/organza cocktail dress in a thrift store. And the rockabilly wig did not go with the dress. Luckily I had bought a backup wig, which worked purr-fectly. And Peggy convinced me this look was more costume-y.
Peggy was awesome as Wednesday Addams. She even upped the ante by making a cousin it on roller wheels. Now, that’s commitment to the part!
But the most interesting photos are the most spookiest ones.
Let me preface by saying that everyone at the party did not even recognize me when we arrived. I had stares and dropped jaws from everyone. In fact, Alden swore that I didn’t even look Chinese anymore; calling me miss Greek throughout the night. Was the way I looked such a huge departure?
I suppose that helped me get into character, as Peggy and I took turns breaking in her camera’s colour accents mode.
Peggy and I took pictures of one another in character. Although I’m sure the pictures might come across as creepy/gothic, we both like them. Heck, a couple of pictures reminded me of Ringu.
Andrew’s newly renovated boutique hotel quality home proved the right backdrop to get me and Peggy in the mood.
Now don’t we look like 2 nice girls you would like to play with on Halloween?
So fair warning now. you probably haven’t seen me like this before.

Great pics… you both have a certain creep factor.
Looks like you did get splattered with just the right amount of blood.
like maybe you finished off a victim before the party.
Nice bathroom at that place too…
Wow… cool pics! You and Peggy look great!
I especially like the picture of you in front of the mirror.
As for you being Miss Greek, your Halloween look does remind me a bit of Greek-American goth diva Diamanda Galas.
@ peggy – you captured the moment fabulously. we’ll just have to see what we’ll come up with next year!
@ tex – i actually had a mouthful of blood dripping down my chin when i first started but peggy thought that was too much. so i didn’t do the off the cuff crazy killer zombie route.
@ dave – wow! never heard of diamanda galas. i hope i don’t look as severe as her.
