Not too long ago, Klout was the buzzwords on everyone’s lips. Your Klout score measures one’s influence online on a scale of 1 to 100.
“What’s your Klout?” “What’s your Klout?” “What’s YOUR Klout?” was what everyone seemed to be asking.
I didn’t give a hoot, to be honest, because I post what I post and if my friends enjoys it, then that’s great. My primary objective for tweeting was not to be in competition with other people in the race to gain the most followers and have my tweets re-tweeted. I just do my own thing.
And it is only because of work that I checked out my Klout score for the analytics I’d be tracking.
Here’s my personal Klout:
Apparently the majority of people average around 20 on the scale. Meh. Whatever.
But for my work Twitter account, my Klout score was almost doubled.
Apparently I’m a thought leader.
That I gotta admit, made me smile. Maybe I’m doing something right at work, after all.
