Just a little peek at what our new rancher looked like before we moved in.
We love:
* That at 1800+ square feet, it’s super spacious (we take up a lot of room)
* 3 bedrooms, which we’re using as his/her offices + flexroom
* 1.5 baths (very important in a relationship to have more than 1 bathroom!)
* Pet friendly
* Sizable livingroom
* Family room which we converted into our master bedroom (bottom right photo)
* Fireplace and window seating in said master bedroom
Plus a HUGE backyard that we’re going to fill with a full-sized trampoline and lawn furniture come this summer, not to mention tons of parking space.
Some of our friends think we’re crazy to leave Vancouver with all its creature comforts and conveniences, but when you weigh out the house, the space, the trees and the fact that we can’t see into our neighbours house, the benefits far outweighs any drawbacks.
Oh and before you go thinking that we’re hours out from Vancouver, we’re really only about a 25 minutes drive into the city centre, although during rush hour traffic, that extends to a mind-numbing 45 minutes commute.
Still, it’s nice to come back to what’s fast becoming our little sanctuary.
