Here’s the difference between Charlie and Jonesy’s natures. When we take Jonesy outside, she likes to find a spot and plant herself on it. And when she does move, inch by inch, she’ll do it with her belly to the ground.
Charlie on the other hand is a wanderer. He laps our back and front yard several times over every time he’s out. Nothing bores him. In fact, everything continues to fascinate him. The outdoor critters, the plants that flower and foam and the neighbours that walk on by. He loves to eat long blades of grass and lie on the concrete, wriggling around.
And when it gets to hot for him, he’ll seek refuge in the furthest corner of the backyard, under 2 huge trees. It’s so shady that not a lot of sun penetrate that corner. And were it not for the fear bugs falling down from the thicket of trees, (thanks babe!), I just might set up a hammock back there.
