Commander Chris Hadfield, is currently on a book tour, promoting An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth. And on what was the rainiest day of the year, I hoofed it out to Surrey Central City to line up with a thousand other fans to get their books autographed by Canada’s favourite astronaut.
And what was I thinking not bringing my camera to this event!? Absolute space case. I blame the torrential downpour, the last day of a long work week and jet lag (can I still offer that one up?) which hindered my thought process.
I did have my iPhone with me, but since I went alone to the book signing, I had to rely on the competency of a fan behind me, who had offered to help me take pictures. As you can see, she did not do a good job.
However, it’s still nice to have a visual memento of the event. Commander Hadfield was gracious and polite and I completely fan-girled all over him.
