Casa de Sullichan is a washed in pinks, whites, reds, yellows and violets blooms and I thought I’d share pictures of our technicolour garden. Since these flowers were planted before we moved in, we don’t know what’s in the flower beds, so it’s a nice surprise when spring rolls around.
If I had my way, I’d make sure to plant bluebells (our neighbour has some and it takes all my willpower not to go trekking over their yard to look at them every day), hyacinths and peonies. I’d also plant cherry blossom trees.
But I don’t remain wishful for long, as there are plenty of floral lovelies right now that I can delight in. And in the comfort of my own yard.
It’s saddens me a bit when you think that flowers are so ephemeral, blooming but for a short period of time, before withering away. But I suppose, as in life, that serves a reminder to be that really appreciate them when they come around.
So be that cliche and remember to stop smell the flowers.
