We got a new kitty! Well, not really – we have a neighbourhood stray cat who likes to drop in for a visit every now and then. And let me tell you Jonesy is not happy about that.
Whenever “Tigger” comes around and she spots him, she’ll give him the ole’ stink eye. And then she’ll do a little scratching at the door and some hissing. We’ve even seen her throw herself at the glass in an attempt to intimidate him. At four in the morning. And while she’s having herself a little conniption, Tigger is just quietly sitting right outside those door windows, observing her behaviour.
Bless her little feline heart, she just does not like other cats. It took a long time for her to even tolerate Charlie. Remember this? How about this? Or even this?
Charlie, on the other hand, is far more scared at Jonesy freaking out then seeing Tigger himself. Although when I’ve taken Charlie outside for his walk and Tigger comes strutting through our yard, Charlie does get a little territorial. As long as I have him scooped up in my arms, or at a reasonable distance from Tigger, he’s okay.
And did I also mention, there are 2 other strays that we’ve seen? On orange one we nicknamed “Morris” and a black Charlie cat we’re calling “Diego.”
Just wait until Jonesy catches those two on the property. We’re always alerted when Tigger is around by her scratching and meowing.
It’s like we have our very own guard cat.
