Oh, just another night at Casa de Sullichan. This year, we looked to the movies for Halloween costume inspiration. Sean went as Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, while I opted for a post-apocalyptic survivor from Mad Max. Although I would totally dress up as Imperator Furiosa or the Vulvilini, if I did do Fury Road, I would’ve loved to be a female version of Immortan Joe. That mask! And shock of white hair.
Speaking of masks, Sean looked CRAZY in his Leatherface mask. It was so creepy that at times, I couldn’t even look at him. He went all out – bought a $5 mask, cut it up and hand-stitched it back together, then paired it with a crazy wig and a lot of blood. Not just me, but our friends were thoroughly freaked at the sight and couldn’t help but nervously laugh. Oh, and the battery operated chainsaw made a chainsaw noise, as well as, screams of terror.
That made for a lot of fun reactions when the kiddies came to trick or treat. Although I don’t think they knew who Leatherface was, being that they were all 13 and under. But their parents knew and that was a kick to watch.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Wonder who we’ll be next year?
