Happy nine years! I can’t believe it’s been nine years. (in a good way, ‘natch)
As per tradition, the money we would’ve used to buy each other presents, we decided to put it towards an upcoming trip instead. That also meant, at least for this year, no hotel stays like we did in the past.
Instead, we celebrated with dinner at Glowbal restaurant. Low-key style – just the way we like it.
Dinner was fantastic. Sean ordered the seafood carbonara with prawn, scallop, lobster, pancetta, scallions, egg, black pepper, and parmigiano-reggiano.
It felt so dainty compared to what I got.
I ordered the daily special, which was seafood risotto with crab and scallops. Little did I know, that meant half a crab sitting on my plate, when I had thought I was getting crab out of the shell and mixed in with the risotto.
Lucky me! I got to ungracefully crack into the crab, in this fancy restaurant. No one around me had ordered the seafood risotto, so I was the only one, sloppily getting at all the meat – but with so much gusto. It was actually mucho tasty. Plus giant scallops!
All in all, a lovely way to mark 9 years together. Happy anniversary, babe.
We’re one year short of double digits!
