Osaka's Kaiyukan is one of the world's largest aquarium. It's home to 30,000 creatures (620 species) and has one of the largest touch pools in Japan, where you can feel sharks and rays. That was neat! I didn't know what to expect touching a pitted stingray. They are slick, smooth and a little squishy, akin to touching a peeled lychee. Like seals, stingrays are sometimes referred to as puppy dogs of the sea. And research shows that they love head rubs.
